Our standard
Every published entry maps a code or symptom to a verified meaning, a clear severity level, and safe, ordered steps. We prioritise accuracy over volume and never present unverified content as reviewed.
How entries are made
We collect information from manufacturer manuals and official support, check the meaning and the safe procedure against those sources, then publish with the sources linked, a last-updated date and a severity level. Sample or in-progress content is clearly badged and excluded from search indexing.
Independence
We are not paid by manufacturers and do not sell printers, cartridges or repairs. Brand names are used only to identify equipment. Advertising, when active, is kept away from controls and never influences our guidance.
No fabricated expertise
We do not invent authors or credentials. Pages are published by PrinterErrors as an organisation and are not signed by named experts; each one lists the sources it relies on so you can check them.
